Nature and environment

Malatesta & Montefeltro

Orientated nature reserve

Gemmano - Onferno

This reserve stretches for 273 hectares and is protected because of its great naturalistic importance. The reserve boasts dense and lush vegetation, a fauna that counts many rare wild animals and unusual geology with chalk formations and calanques. This is without doubt an exceptionally beautiful area and, with a little care and helped by excellent signalling, visitors can go on excursions through it and enjoy its natural beauty and spectacular landscapes.

The main itineraries include the Madonna della Pioggia trail, the Del Faggio train. For those with a minimum knowledge of the territory, there are numerous other itineraries that can be covered on foot, by horse or by mountain bike.
