Living Nativity Scene
Tradition and religious devotion come back to life in Montefiore Conca, on the splendid hills of Rimini, in this charming event with around thirty episodes represented in the narrow streets of the village.
In what is to all intents and purposes an open-air theatre, over 150 participants, dressed in period costume, will act out scenes from daily life in ancient Galilee - the fishermen’s village, shepherds, Arabs, a market and the work of ancient craftsmen, such as smiths, carpenters and potters.
Herod’s castle (the imposing Malatesta Fortress) - with Christmas music and bagpipes playing throughout the village.
On December 24th it will take place at 21.00 p.m.; on 26th Dec and January 1st the event will begin at around 5.00 p.m., in order to make the most of the magical natural light at dusk and will end at around 7.30 p.m.
