Rimini Marathon - Riviera Beach Games

42,195 Km between Rimini, Bellaria and Santarcangelo


Rimini Marathon is a big national and international sport event which involves the whole city, touching the most evocative places and squares in Rimini historic centre and not only.
The start and finish of the race is near the Arch of Augustus in Rimini historic centre, where a Marathon village will be set up from Saturday 26th April with music, shopping and gastronomic stands.
The roadmap of the marathon run leads along the beach promenade from viale Tripoli to Piazzale Boscovich, then it continues on via Destra del Porto (harbour area), via Coletti, via Lucio Lando until the tourist harbour (Darsena). Then the path gets back in via Coletti and continues until Igea Marina and from here, in direction Bordonchio, it leads to Santarcangelo. The return to Rimini runs along the old via Emilia and then through via San Martino in Riparotta, via Sacramora, via XXIII September it arrives at the Tiberius Bridge and crossing the historic centre the finish will be at the Arch of Augustus.
In addition there will also be held the first national meeting of the “spingitori” (wheelchair pushers), groups which aims to let disabled people live the excitement of a marathon by pushing their wheelchairs for the whole marathon, more than 42 km. There are also scheduled a Family Run of 9 km and a Kids Run of 1,9 km. In the race Kids Run will take part in wheelchairs a brother and sister from Rimini, 4 and 7 years old, "pushed" by their older sister. 

Time: Meeting point for start: Arch of Augustus at 9 pm. Maximum time of the run: 7 hours
